It’s not a sure fire, but I love it. I can’t say about hard use and reliability because I just got it. From what I see and have tested I feel I have a great product and will buy another. I love that it is dual fuel and unlike the Olight Odin. That feature is important to me.

I love this light and pressure pad kit on my AR15 didn’t feel like it added much weight and seems to be well built. The cord between the switch and the light is plenty long and the cloud defense tape switch mount has a quite a few options for routing the cord.

This light and pressure pad setup is AWESOME!! I have used it several times and it will light up an entire room from the spill, but has a nice hot center, and it is a very crisp white color with the slightest hint of yellow instead of blue. The pad mounts of tight in the Cloud Defense rail mount box that comes with it, and I LOVE that you can hide the wire inside the rail mount. It keeps a super clean, professionally installed look, and the light works perfectly. I would highly recommend this. Also, it doesn't cost $400-$500 like the SureFire Scout M600 I was considering instead of this. The only thing I would change is to make the mount be able to offset, or mount centered, and make it available in FDE.
Pros:
- Price
- Functionality
- Super Bright
- Hides wires
- Pressure pad included
Cons:
- Doesn't offer variable or offset mounting
- Doesn't come in FDE

The light is great, the mount is great, and none of this will ever rattle off the rail. The 1000 lumen strobe is disorienting down range, the high mode reaches far and the low setting works like a standard flashlight. All this is exactly as it should be and I couldn't be happier with it.
But the programmability of the unit is not like you think it is. What it really is, is 3 different preprogrammed settings that dictate what functions are activated when you tap, tap + hold, and double-tap+hold the thumb bar. None of the preprogrammed settings allow for all three functions to be used in the same setup.
What I would much prefer to have seen is a 3-zone bar and no programs *at all.* One for high, one for low, and one for high strobe, and nothing more. The rest is just clumsy. That's the only reason why I did not give it five stars.
Pros:
- Excellent value
- Mount and pressure switch included
- Bright light good quality built
Best Used for:
- searches and night activities
- Room clearing/home defense

This is by far the best weapon mounted light that I have ever owned, it is very easy to use and install. Also the price of these two components together is unbeatable! This is definitely a must have at a reasonable price. I plan on buying more of these in the very near future.
Pros:
- bright and compact
- Brighness
- Bright & clear
- Bright light good quality built

I bought this based on the reviews and wanting a reliable light on my Home defense AR pistol. I have bought cheaper lights in the past for builds and they are fine for plinking but always ran into how do I connect the tape switch to the rail and run the wires to make it more streamline. The cloud system is one of the best purchases I have made. Holds the wires in the built in groove and no zip ties, tape, or magnets for the switch. The light is bright and has a nice spill and throw. You won’t be disappointed with this light. One think to know and think about is the rechargeable battery is not included.

I bought two of these Streamlight ProTac Rail-Mount HLX LCS Series lights along with the Cloud Defensive Light Control System, and I am extremely satisfied. I had been considering the Surefire Scout M600 series prior to my purchase, but thought that these Streamlights are a great alternative and half the cost. I deliberately avoid using the word "value" here because some people might think that this would imply a lesser quality, which is not at all what I am saying. I have owned a Streamlight TLR-2 for one of my handguns since 2011, and it's still running at full light intensity and laser accuracy, even after thousands of rounds through the gun. That convinced me to stay with the Streamlight brand and, so far, I am very pleased. I would recommend potential buyers to view some great in-depth reviews on YouTube by the Mrgunsngear and SageDynamics channels (among others) to see the light being tested.
Pros:
- cost
- High quality
- solid cable management
Best Used for:
- rifles of all types and carbines

Best flashlight and mount I've used yet. I own quite a few via an O-light valkyrie and also a streamlight TLR-1. In my opinion this light and mount is the most sturdy of the 3. Also puts out a beam that goes the farthest. Great product! Would definitely buy again!

Purchased this light a while back. Same issues as listed above. Took the light and mounted it up. Took to the range and after one range trip I had I guess scratched the housing? Well the “FDE” fell off to show a black housing underneath. No prep obviously for the paint to come off like that. Light is good. Still working on a 10.5 after 2-3 thousand rounds through it.

I have used several different Streamlights, as well as other weapon mounted and hand held lights in my career and this light is by far the brightest I have ever used. It has the reliability that I have learned to count on from Streamlight at an affordable price point. The Cloud Defensive tape mount is the best option I have used for mounting a pressure tape. There is no play, no wires or cable ties hanging off the rail. Everyone who see it falls in love with it. It also has just enough material around the tape so it is not activated when resting in a safe or in a mount, saving the precious and expensive CR123 batteries.
