i have 2 of these gas block and there tolerance where the gas tube goes in to the gas block is horrible. these gas blocks get a lot of blow by causing shot strokes. CMC needs to tolerance check the gas block.

Loose tolerances but super nice build quality.

As I stated in the title, this gas block's fit and finish is great. It's made of 17-4PH steel which is an astoundingly strong steel, one of the strongest probably on the market. It's a much better steel than say the BCM gas block... but the BCM is a much better gas block in that the tolerances are much better. On this CMC gas block it's very loose on a .750 barrel AND the inlet for the gas tube is also very loose. I was disappointed in that fact, though overall it functions fine. So all in all, you really can't get a better material or fit and finish for a gas block but you can get better tolerances. I can not say whether or not I got a bad batch or if they're all that way, but my sample size is 2 and they both are the same. If you can deal with loose tolerances you can't get a gas block with better steel than the CMC.

SBR gas block

I used this to replace a faulty adjustable block on a 10.3 colt mk18. No issues at all when installed. A bit gassy with the silencer attached but has no issues with cycling. Added a h2 buffer and it’s perfect.
