Most Helpful Positive Review Crisp and smooth!
This review may be somewhat biased as I had never fired anything, but milspec triggers on ARs/M4s, but ran a SCAR-L for a bit, which had a very nice trigger. This trigger beats any I have used before. I was in the army and always used 2 stage triggers so that drove me away from putting a single stage on my gun. I chose the flat trigger as I felt it would give me a cleaner pull. It feels great all the way back and then breaks the cleanest I have ever felt. All in all I have had no problems and love the look and feel of my CMC and will surely be a repeat customer for my future builds.

Great trigger

by JM, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on June 23, 2025
Replaced the single stage drop in trigger in my Saint Victor 223... I really like 2 stage triggers and this one doesn't disappoint!! I already have a Geissele 2 stage trigger in another AR that is really getting it done, but saw this CMC drop in was on sale and thought I'd try it out. Easy install, very smooth and crisp break

CMC drop in

by Timothy Labonville, Verified Owner from NH, United States Written on December 9, 2024
This is my 3rd CMC flat drop in and this last one is garbage. Tolerances appear off and the trigger reset release the hammer as the bolt rides forward allowing the firing pin to be struck out of battery. Pulled the trigger assembly from my build to put into another rifle I’ve had with zero previous issues. Same thing, act like a binary/full auto and fired the first round I racked. Pulled it back out and pulled my other 2 I had in other rifles. Garbage quality control unusable.

10/10 trigger.

by Andrizzle, from NJ, United States Written on March 28, 2022
let me tell you, went from a 12 pound pull to this. John wick couldn’t keep up. the install needed some machining on my rifle to get it seated. But the function is amazing. However, make sure to get a replacement safety as you’re stock one will hang and it’s a bit unsettling to have a hair trigger and a safety that falls out of safety.
Pros:
  • amazing trigger upgrade
  • essentially plug and play
Cons:
  • Machining needed for install

Amazing Trigger - Easy to Install

by BradSDay, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on March 13, 2020
This is the first trigger I ever installed. I have to admit I was intimidated, but after watching the CMC install video on YouTube a dozen times finally built up the courage. I am so glad I did. I installed the CMC trigger in my M&P 15 MOE SL MID Magpul in about 20 mins. This trigger is AMAZING. Clean take up with no grit and a crisp glass-like break. I am so glad I upgraded my AR-15 stock trigger with the CMC drop in two-stage - it is a world of difference at a reasonable price.
Pros:
  • easy to install
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • reasonable price

Great trigger

by JOHN, from MO, United States Written on January 19, 2019
I was a little hesitant on my first trigger install. Went like a breeze fifteen minutes and I have one of the best triggers in my new 6.5 creedmoor areo precision rifle. I have a couple other trigger brands and this is as good or better. My rock river is very close in feel.

  • easy to install

These work!

by Steve Holl, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on August 5, 2017
As most of us know, the milspec triggers are gritty and have high pull rates. I have generally leaned toward single stage triggers of light pull weights but a while back decided to try the two stage in a couple of builds. The benefit that I see is you can take up tension on the trigger without release and then by increasing the pull a little more you discharge the weapon. These triggers fit well and are very smooth. My personal preference seems to be the flat unit but the curved one reviewed here works just as well. I have several of these now and they work quite well for improving the let off. Many hundreds of rounds have been run through this style of trigger without any malfunctions. By the way, they come with machined trigger pins that fit well, so no need to buy the antiwalk kit separately. This is one of the best upgrades you can do to maintain better groups with the modern sporting semisutomatic rifle!
Pros:
  • Easy install and alignment
  • Self contained
  • Excellent Feel
  • consistant pull weights
Cons:
  • A little pricey
Best Used for:
  • .223 or .308 platform
