Most Helpful Positive Review Does what it's supposed to.
It's a standard firing pin retainer. I've used this in both full auto and semi auto profile bolt carriers (not that it should make a difference, but it's worth mentioning) It retains the firing pin, and doesn't come loose after firing. Great pin.
Most Helpful Negative Review Hard to get into hole
The tip of these is too dull, it keeps opening at the end as well, so I had to file it down into order for it to get close and I have to hammer it in. Imagine SHTF and you'll hear me sitting there hammering this thing in. Sigh.

I needed a new retaining pin and I was very happy to see this product from CMMG...the BMW of ARs,... for less than a buck. The pin is in perfect condition with the legs close together for easy installation. Nice packaging too Highly recommended.

As others have said, the tangs are spread apart, preventing it from going through carrier. For the price, it's worth the time to fix it.
