Not what I expected

I thought this would replace my aging 18 volt makita flourescent lamps and I was wrong.This thing is so dim,even on high it would be hard to do detail work from a few feet away.The dimmer is a cool feature but worhtless in reality because you go from dim to dimmer,red is just as bad.I should have bought the 300 lumen rayovac for usable light,I will be selling my lantern on ebay to get rid of it.
Pros: Good paperweight
Cons: Not bright enough
