Great EDC Light

by JLB, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on March 17, 2009
I ordered this light with the intention of carrying it daily. I knew in order for me to carry a flashlight daily it would need to be small, light, and use a common battery. This light is compact, but fits my medium sized hands nicely without being awkwardly small. The rear clicky switch is great and offers a momentary on option by lightly pressing the switch (it hasn't accidentally turned on in its holster, so it isn't too sensitive). The body of the light is nicely finished and textured for a secure grip, and the beam is very bright and white. It also comes with a nice nylon belt holster and 2 AA batteries. I highly recommend this light if you're looking for a bright light in a small package at a reasonable price.
Pros: Small, Bright, Uses common AA battery
Cons: None really, though a high and low mode would be nice.

good pocket light

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on March 6, 2009
I found myself carrying a 2 cell AA mini-mag LED. That light was a bit long in the pocket. This light is the right size to carry with keys and wallet.

Produces an impressive amount of light with a single AA, if anything it's too bright for close work; reflected brilliance may disrupt night vision. The "light field" appears tuned for 10 feet or more, less than that it's a bit narrow. Since the prism lens is fixed, it'd be nice to have the option of a different prism that was a bit more diffuse for close-up work. Includes 2 AA batteries (one demo already installed) in display packaging that requires teeth of steel to open.

Haven't used it long enough to experience end of battery life. The maglight this replaces would fail abruptly, hope this one depletes the battery on more of a "curve" to give some warning.
Pros: size (single AA), pushbutton switch on base
Cons: none.
