Great for pilots
I bought one of these to use in my airplane at night. Red light does not impact night vision making it possible to read instruments and maps in the cockpit without impacting the pilot's ability to see well outside the aircraft. The white light is bright enough to work well for engine inspections and maintenance tasks in hard to reach places as well. This is a great flashlight. I'm ordering another for each on my cars as well.

I only used the light a few times (total operating time around 1 hour). One day it was dropped onto a floor from only 3 feet up and it stopped working. I mailed it in for repair and received it back in good working condition. Again the light got dropped but only from 2 feet up and it stopped working again. I refuse to mail it in again! I'll just buy a different product somewhere else! I may sound a little clumsy, but for the price the light should be more durable. Even cell phones dont break so easily! Maybe I just got a lemon?
