good buy love the old bowie look
knife was larger then I had thought . its a good blade for collector or regular use. I enjoy the old bowie look and feel. took it out camping and use it to help split wood and notch tree base to hang tent para cord . have used this to help clear brush along hikes as well. all around big and durable good look and feel.

A very cool knife. Like the look of the blued blade. The high carbon steel has a nice thick spine and guard is perfect for keeping the hand protected and grappling other weapons. The squared scale is a little cumbersome though but am getting use to it.

Cold steel Frontier Bowie
Out of the box very sharp, no complaints on this knife. I looked hard for imperfections didn’t find ANY. Sheath is heavy duty thick leather stitched well metal parts to protect blade during packing,storing or traveling. Blade is a beautiful blued finish almost a shame to use it but it’s made to chop and cut. Guard is solid and blued also and thick. Handle is wood and can easily be taken apart by 6 interconnecting screws also very stout. The point is amazingly sharp, and with the swegd designed like it is makes it very strong. If you need a large bladed knife this is a rugged one.

Well built but sharpness c’d be better
If i had to describe this knife in one word, it would be heavy, it is a only heavy piece of carbon steel, very beautiful and well forged in the shape of a genuine bowie knife, the build quality of the knife and the sheat is quite good, the only con is the factory edge sharpness, it is terrible, it can easily fixed, but for the price I’d hope something to be ready for using. If you’re want a bowie that is beatiful, heavy and that will last for a life, get this. The cost could be better? Maybe, but it is a Cold Steel, you never go wrong with a Cold Steel.
