Blackthorn Staff
Super happy with the staff. I use it for a walking stick. I had been using a cut down hockey stick. Where I walk is getting more and more sketchy people so I wanted something more for defense. The Blackthorn is heavier, but you get used to it. I cut 5.5 inches off the bottom to customize the length, easy to do with a hacksaw. It gives me a safe feeling on my walks. A great product reasonably priced.
Walk Softly, Carry a Big Stick

strong enough to support the biggest hiker
The flexibility can be a little disconcerting but it will not fail. I love my staff.

I really like the staff.
Keep in mind it is poly, so if you put a load on it, it will bent but as i am probably the biggest user here. I would say it's very stable and safe. I added a cain foot for slip resistance. Great value for the money!

Need concrete mitts for this
I want to love this staff, truly I do. It looks cool and has the potential to be incredible, however, it has a profound flaw: the rivets. Instead of smooth and rounded like the walking stick, they're jagged. You will shred your hands. I'm going to sand them down, but that's extra money and labor that I have to provide. I don't mind, but most would.
Pros:
- It does look cool
Cons:
- Unusable

A Tool Like NO Other
ii have a selection of canes.
This tall Blackthorn is my most lavish.
Good balance.
Not too heavy.
Fits well in big hands.
Slipped 6 inches of some fishing rod handle heat shrink on the upper area just below the knob to make it even nicer to grip.
Screwed a cane rubber (neoprene) tip on the bottom, for those slippery floors.
