Good overall field dressing knife - Cold Steel Leatherneck-Tanto Fixed Blade Tactical Knife - 12in OAL

This is a great knife for overall field dressing a deer. You could use some good kitchen knife from a local store but this one has good stability for fileting the meat after the deer has been dressed to the meat part. Then slicing into steaks and parts for the cooking is a breeze with a tough kitchen knife like this one. Stays sharp for a good length of time and honing to stay sharp is not hard at all.
