I've had walkabout sticks. This isn't it. If you want an amazing stick, find a black locust sapling, cut it down, strip the bark off it while the wood is still wet (because you'll work ten times as hard if the wood dries) and finish while it's wet it with -- and I'm not joking even a little -- a sharp wood rasp. You'll have something you can pass on to your great grandchildren.
