The Best Magazine
Nothing bets a Colt. I have been to the range several times and the Colt Magazine works flawless every time. Highly Recommend this product. These magazines are hard to find, but absolutely worth the wait.
Can't go wrong with real Colt mags!!!
Can't go wrong with real Colt mags. The Colt 1911 Government .45 ACP 7-Round Magazine is the perfect upgrade for practically any full sized 1911. Constructed from durable steel with a steel flush-fitting baseplate, this magazine offers unparalleled strength and corrosion resistance. Wide witness holes allow for quick ammo counts while the stainless steel spring and polymer follower ensure smooth and reliable feeding in high-stress target or defensive situations. I only use real Colt mags, and they have always been reliable. They are a little more expensive, but well worth the cost. Do yourself a favor, and buy COLT!

Colt Quality-Slow Shipping
The magazines I ordered showed in stock when I placed the order weeks ago and they obviously were not. The order was placed on the 2nd of December and they arrived today the 20th. If I had known they would have taken that long I would have ordered elsewhere.
Pros:
- Colt Quality
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Government Model

Why go 7 + 1 when you can go 8 + 1
This mag seems OK for my Colt 1911 Gov't Model (takes 7 rounds, loads manually, and easily ejects), but I haven't range tested it yet. However, I also ordered a less costly Mec-Gar 1911 .45 ACP 8rd Magazine from another vendor, which similarly appeared OK, but held an extra round while essentially appearing just like the 7 round mag (with about 1/16" more length), and having a non-tilting non-metallic bottom plate which prevents accidental scratching), so from here on out I'm going with Mec-Gar's (which I understands actually makes most OEM mags for many of the major gun manufacturers) 8 round mag (unless range testing leads to a different conclusion). Purists would prefer this, Colt's OEM version, which is fine with me, but I prefer the Mec-Gar 8 which has a lot more to offer for a lower cost.
