Retention is good. Pistol fits good. As of yet I have no holster wear on the pistol. One of the reasons I chose this holster is the plastic belt clips. Metal clips tend to put holes in my shirts and wear on my belt but these are very smooth. If I had to nitpick, I'd like slightly more cant adjustment but I've modified my draw to make it work.
