The concept is cool. A magazine that doesnt need to be removed. It fed fine for me and I never had any issues with it working.
With that said, it was very annoying to use. Trying to load it from the side window was such a hassle. The bullets would spin around and then get stuck inside and wierd angles. I would rather just use a takedown pin solution. Way easier.

So a little over a week ago i decided to order this item and just the other day I went to use it and my bullets were get jammed and it was not feeding anything so I decided to take a look and the whole top half of the magazine was cracked and scratched so for $70 this mag is so not worth messing up a gun. It has to be the worst mag I’ve ordered. And for the screwing to expand the mag that in fact does not work. Id keep my money and walk away before I buy another one!!

Solid product for what it's worth, I use this on rifles that I want to keep compliant for neighboring states when I go shooting with my buddies. Plus Optics Planet gives the best price I could find!!!

I would add a separate mag lock for this thing as it pulls right off with some force. You think a LEO that wants to ruin your day out isn't gonna pull hard to remove one of these mags... hence eliminating the compliance with the NY SAFE act. I would buy this only for the neat loading design that could feasibly help clearing a jam....then again I got a weird bolt jam using some steel case and I don't know that the mag didn't contribute to that. Could have been a fluke. If it doesn't jam again I may come back and upgrade my rating. In terms of loading speed you're better off with an ejection port speed loader.

I bought one from opticsplanet, fast shipping, reliable stock and there is no fake product from here. As for the mag, I have their Gen 1 and this is the Gen 2, I like the Gen 1 better, Gen 2 is easier to set up you just need to insert the mag and tighten up the tension screw then you are good to go, but the safety pin always drops out when you open up the action, that is why they gave you two(it still works without the pin), I hope they still make the Gen 1 in the future or keep improving the product.
Pros:
- Make you AR legal in Cali

Easy installation, easy loading, good looking (better than 10 rounds mag IMO), easy to clear double feed.
Especially if your state only allow you to have a fixed mag or featureless ar15
Compmag also works with my cross armory mag lock system which is even better.
