Great Bino for the Price
Great bino for the price. The glass is actually pretty nice (nicer than I thought it would be), comparable to most others in the industry. Can't go wrong, worth the money, especially if you get them during a promotion.

Pretty Impressed
As an avid hunter, I have used a lot of binos over the years. And especially as a bow hunter, glassing is important to me. I’m very familiar with Feradyne, the company that owns a lot of brands in the archery world, and when I saw they came out with binos, I had to try them out. I ended up purchasin...

optics were good but received like so many others with the rubber on an lense cap broken
Great clarity for close-up distance. The carrying case is a little tight with trying to wrap your strap around it and make it fit into the box. Biggest issue I had was received with a broken rubber piece on my lens cap.
Covert Binos - Why did they stop producing
I have a Leupold bino that doesn’t work as well as these Covert 8x42 Roof Prisms. Shot a buck today because I was able to see him coming long before the shot. Pick a pair up if you can.
Best Used for:
- Low light big woods

Covert 8x42 Binoculars
This is a great buy for Optics this good. As other reviews said, the Objective covers are garbage - mine came apart on my back porch about 30 minutes after receiving them - LOL. I removed the barrel rings, then trimmed - will eventually get lost. I'm hesitant to buy generic covers but will have to when I lose one or both of these. Even with that said - I am thinking about the 10x42 at $119.99, just wish they would send out "quality objective covers" to everyone - or at least everyone that requests them.
Pros:
- value
- Quality optics
Cons:
- Objective Covers
Best Used for:
- General Anything
Would recommend: Yes
Great Binos, can't beat the price.
Got these for my boy as a starter pair of binoculars. They are actually better than the " name brand" I have that cost 3x as much as these. Great glass.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- Rubber eye cover ripped
Best Used for:
- hunting
Would recommend: Yes
Good Binos
I was looking for some new Binos when I found the Carson binos on the website on clearance. They looked like they would suit my needs. I needed Binos that will work well with glasses. These Binos have greatly exceeded my expectations. Work good with glasses. Sharp image, easy focus hold their focus. They are a little heavy but that not all bad as it makes them easier to hold steady. You can spend more but you don’t have to to get some high quality binos.
Pros:
- Great value, sharp image, easy focus
Cons:
- Heavier than some brands
Best Used for:
- Hunting thick forest, general use
Would recommend: Yes
Covert Optics 8x42 Binoculars
Arrived well packaged. Nice Covert case. Both the display case and the soft side the bins go in to be stored. Great clarity. Easy to set up. Not too heavy, not to light weight. Makes acquisition of objects easy. Seem sturdy, and the rubberized outside keeps them in place in your fingertips, evenwith sweat in the FL heat and humidity. ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT BEAT THE PRICE!! Glad I checked with Optics Planet when I started looking for a new pair. Would definitely recommend these to whitetail hunters.
Pros:
- Clarity and just the right weight.
Cons:
- None I can see.
Best Used for:
- Any outdoors activitie.

Great Clear Binoculars for Outdoor Use
I’m very happy with the Covert Optics 8x42mm Roof Prism Binoculars. The image is clear and bright, and the 8x magnification gives a great balance of detail and stability. They feel solid in the hand without being too heavy, making them easy to carry for birdwatching, hiking, hunting, or general outdoor viewing. The focus is smooth and easy to adjust, and the overall build quality feels dependable. I would definitely recommend these binoculars to anyone looking for a reliable pair of binoculars at a good value.
