Tested in temperatures from 5F to 30F. Comparing to another white flash option Cuddeback C1: Covert NWF18 has noticeably slower trigger, blurrier pictures, grainier pictures, and less ability to center the deer. Covert does have longer detection range but flash is weaker than Cudde - so not much gained. Covert is about $50 less so keep that in mind. Covert would likely be ok looking at a scrape but otherwise the pics will be a bit blurry as compared to Cudde. Optics Planet customer service is great and Covert is being returned, likely for a Cudde C1.
