I have a medium size hand so the grip supports all fingers. The rubber has a tacky feel ( Not sticky ! ). When griped naturally the laser turns on w/o thinking about it. The grips have a checkered pattern, similar to wood grips. The laser aligns well w/ the iron sights. I don't have strong lighting in my house so the laser is very visible. However outside in a bright overcast condition the laser is very hard to find and really not useable. It's difficult to coordinate aiming w/ iron sights verses the laser because the laser magnifies sighting error corrections, but this'll just take practice.
Pros:
- useable in low to no lighting
Cons:
- not useable in bright conditions
Best Used for:
- quick gun to target alignment

Product was as described. Optics Planet is a good company. I've bought many products from them. Decided to go with these for my elderly father. There's no fumbling around with a switch to turn on. Just grip it and it's on.

Love it. Just as described and I would definitely encourage others to try these grips and laser! My first purchase from this website and I am more than happy. Try them….you will like them. I do and I would definitely buy here again.

I give it 5 stars. Another great CT product. This is ~my 8th Crimson Trace laser/laser grip for both my wife and I. Quality is always great, installation is easy, and the added security of fast target acquisition makes this the perfect addition to any home defense or CCW. As always, I highly recommend!

These Crimson Trace laser grips are a great choice for a revolver. Bought for my S&W J-Frame 442. Benefits the fact that sights on small revolvers are not extremely useful. Also benefits the fact there's no real estate to attach stuff on a revolver. The CT's solve this problem. Low-profile, nothing to bolt on. Allows quick acquisition. Makes grip feel more solid in hand than the stock ones. Bought the front-activation model, so a nice squeeze turns on the laser. Dot is bright and sharp. Haven't fine-tuned it yet, but there is full adjustability. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the fit caught my attention. The seam on the backstrap of the grips when attached is not completely bounded at the top, right behind the laser itself. The small gap irks me, as it looks like the grips are pealing away at the seam from the frame at that point. May be a production batch issue, I don't know. Although gap is no more than a 16th of an inch in spacing, I feel for the money the workmanship should be flawless. That said, the grips are snug and don't move around. A vast improvement in feel over stock with a valuable functionality. Thanks to OP for the lowest price. Why wouldn't all revolvers go this route? These CT laser grips are a must-have.
Pros:
- Non-obstructive functionality
Best Used for:
- The only real option for a laser on a revolver

Perfect fit on my 638. Sight in was easy. Target acquisition in atypical positions is a snap. Comfort is enhanced by the extended grip afforded over the stock supplied grips. I would highly recommed anyone owning a J-frame to consider these as an upgrade.
Pros:
- Quality and easy to install.
Cons:
- May cause "printing" with concealed carry.
Best Used for:
- Home defense and concealed carry

I have purchased two products from Optics Planet both of which are of the highest quality.
The service is excellent and fast. The latest purchase of the Crimson Trace for my 340PD
fit perfectly and was accurate from the start. My high end binoculars are also exactly as
described. What else can a customer ask for. Thanks, Optics Planet.-----_J Sharp

I received the LF-305 today, I was surprised it had a red laser when the Optics Planet specifications indicate it had a 532nm laser! Not sure if I will keep it or return it for the green laser grip that I expected.

I love the grips and laser sighting. Only issue for me is the activation pad. Arthritis friendly it's not. I going to go with the 400 series on my next gun. Otherwise I recommend it to anyone with old eyes.
