On its website, Crimson Trace claims this has the same footprint as the Vortex Venom and others. That is only partially true.
The screw holes and locating pins seem to be the same as a Venom, but the CTS-1300 length is 48.4mm vs. 47.5mm for the Venom, so if you have a slide machined tightly for a Venom, a CTS-1300 is too long to fit. If you do this for a CTS-1300, I recommend sending the sight to the gunsmith to have the slide machined. I compared this to my own new Venom and the Vortex website.
Also, the CTS-1300 is larger in height than the Venom; same for the "shelf" height, which means any BUIS must be taller. Otherwise, quality is OK.
