Caution on Size
On its website, Crimson Trace claims this has the same footprint as the Vortex Venom and others. That is only partially true.
The screw holes and locating pins seem to be the same as a Venom, but the CTS-1300 length is 48.4mm vs. 47.5mm for the Venom, so if you have a slide machined tightly for ...

High Profile
I tried this sight on a S&W MP40 CORE Performance Center that came with factory suppressor height sights. The deck height of the sight is so high that the iron sights cannot be seen even though they are very tall.
Crimson Red Dot 3.25
Easily mount on a savage 301 410 shotgun. Works great while sighting in. The scope did well using regular field loads. Hoping to use the TSS loads for a final sight in at 40 yards. Sights looks good and very precise at 20 and 40 yards.

It's a pretty expensive paperweight.
This does not have a red dot, it has a red splotch. Spend the extra money and buy one of a higher quality. I purchased it for a Mossberg Shockwave and never even mounted it because right out of the box it had an odd shaped red splotch.
Best Used for:
- paper weight

So far working great
I brought this to the range. Ran around 50 20 gauge slugs through my semi auto. It worked fine and held zero once I sighted it in. I feel confident to use this on my next hunt this fall. Mounted well and secure.

Crimson trace 3.25moa reflex sight
First one received only worked twice then quit. Sent in for replacement. Received new sight and it would not work at all. Crimson Trace needs to do a little quality control of their products to make sure they will function.

Possibly a LEMON
I bought this for a mossberg shockwave and I was running mini slugs and I noticed the dot flicking in and out then shutting off after I’d fire then turn back on then eventually after a few more challenger mini slugs it went off for good. They are sending me another one hopefully I have no issues and the one I got was just a lemon. It was cool while it worked. Only maybe 30-40 rounds it lasted. Hopefully I can edit this or comment again if the new one works out. Crimson trace has a nicer version but for $200 more I’ll just keep trying this one!
