Crimson Trace LG 459 G
Purchased the LG459 G and received it shortly thereafter. Instructions were clear and easy. Installed it on my S&W M&P Shield 380 EZ in less than 10 minutes. Turned it on and gripped the gun and saw a very bright green laser dot. Temporarily adjusted it to closely resemble point of aim . When I go to the range I will make the final adjustments. Great product and great service from Optics Planet. Great price also.
Reviews Matter
I ordered a Crimson Trace LG459-G for a 9mm S&W Equalizer EZ but wasn’t 100% sure it would fit the gun until I read through some of the reviews. One review I read said it fit their exact same gun as mine perfectly, and that’s when I decided to place the order. In addition to that, Optics Planet fulfilled the order and delivered it earlier than expected with no issues. Their service is top notch and Crimson Trace makes an outstanding product as usual. Thank you Optics Planet, Crimson Trace, and all of the reviewers!

Going Green
Laser works to expectations. Only drawback is the instructions on up & down adjustments are backwards, but easy enough to figure out, problem solved. Will definately reckomend this product and works better than red in bright light.

Never Worked: Hoped the Replacement Does
Wouldn't turn on. Tried another battery. Nothing. Had a friend who is an armorer who has installed several check it out. His conclusion was a fault in the master on/off switch. Happily, Optics Planet will replace it, but that's going to take weeks and this was going to be a gift. Pretty disappointed in Crimson Trace considering the price of the unit.
Pros:
- Not one
Cons:
- Didn't work
Best Used for:
- Paperweight

This is a very lightweight laser. It doesn’t affect my grip at all. I just got it & “installed” it myself. It only took about 30 minutes, including the time I took reading the instructions a few times. Now I’m ready to go to the range & fire off some practice rounds!!

Easy Installation
This is the second Crimson Trace Laserguard that I’ve owned. The first one was installed for me at the gun shop / range. This one I installed myself. Could not be easier to do. Very straight forward and the adjustments were done with one single quarter turn on the windage screw. I’ll test it at the range to be sure of the final contact point.
I’ve made several purchases from Optics Planet and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Did the order online paying with PayPal and they shipped free on second day UPS. I had the laser on my firearm three days after I went to the website. Can’t get any more efficient than that. Finally; the pricing is the best that I’ve been able to find. I had called Crimson Trace directly to confirm that the laser I was buying was the proper one for my firearm. They didn’t list one for the S&W Shield 9mm EZ. Crimson Trace told me that the laser for 9mm was the same as the 380.
Optics Planet is the only place I’ll shop for items they carry. They have a very expansive inventory and are adding items all the time. I would gladly recommend Optics Planet to anyone I know.

Great add-on so far
Fits nice to the rail, not so well to the trigger guard though, but it's still an excellent little attachment. The instruction manual indicates it's supposed to be dead on with the factory sight at 50 yards which is pretty funny on a 380ACP. I want it to be dead on at 5 feet myself, if target is 50 yards out I am probably reaching for something else.
Uses a weird battery, but it's very easy to change without removing the laser. The pressure switch is sharp and pointy and not easy to activate but your finger knows it's there in the middle of the night.
There is a master power switch too, very small and tucked into a notch on the side. I hope it's not going to drain the battery if this is left on. I guess if you're going to put in your safe it's nice to use the master switch (or just pull the battery) i am not planning to use the master switch myself as this weapon is always kept within reach and I want the laser as soon as i tighten my hand around the grip
