Ghost's Review of Crimson Trace Cree XPL LED Waterproof Tactical Weapon Light

The light is extremely light weight and seems brighter than the advertised 500 lumens. The picatinny rail mount is very tight, as is the locking mechanism that connects the mount to the actual flashlight. For some reason, the wrench to tighten the two torque screws was not included. The two wrenches included were both too big for the torque screws in question, but no big deal, I have plenty of hex wrenches and had no problem matching one to the screws. The pressure pad and velcro straps are what set Crimson Trace products a cut above, at least for me. You can get the pressure pad adjusted exactly like you want it then strap it down as tightly as you like using the velcro straps around your rail. There is no need to use the sticky pad, imho. There's not much wire left to hide but I was able to hide the slack by just running it along the contours of my Larue rail. The pressure pad works very well, the constant on switch is very responsive and the pressure pad itself responds with just a bit of applied pressure with your palm. The light is plenty bright, not as bright as the 202 version, but this flashlight is half that size and takes one battery instead of two. Even with the one battery, the light lit up my home hallway completely with all lights turned out. The light fits very close to the rail and it has a very sleek look. The picatinny mount locks up very tight against the rail, it has no play at all once I used the tension bolt to tighten down the rail mount. All in all, this tac light is definitely worth the money. I also have a Crimson Trace CWL-201 and it's a very good tac light setup, but I prefer the smaller, lighter CWL-102. Optics Planet is always a pleasure to deal with and the Crimson Trace CWL-102 was a very good purchase. It does also come with a Keymod mount if have a rail with Keymod connectors.
