Crimson Trace Hardline 3-9x40
I picked this scope up because I was concerned about the new tariffs on imported consumer products catching up to me. It is a good looking scope and the packaging was in good shape. Things like this are just not profitable to produce in the U.S. unless a whole lot of cost is passed along to the consumer which then makes things like this not valuable for the consumer (same stuff but at a higher cost). This is a good deal. I have not mounted the scope yet but will be putting it on a CZ 550 chambered in 6.5x55 Swedish. The turrets do not lock but I am okay with that. I only drive to where I hunt and then back home. There is no beating and banging involved in that.
Pros:
- Easy and tool-free adjustments, sleek look
Cons:
- No turret locks
Best Used for:
- Target shooting, still hunting scenarios
Would recommend: Yes
Quality through & through
Hardline 3-9x40
Much better than my expectations. Clear view edge to edge up close and at distance. Very forgiving eye box without a lot of parallax, it’s just as clear at maximum power as it on low, it’s clarity is rather amazing given it has no side focus, and it’s more of an entry level scope. When compared side by side to the Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40 it outperforms on all aspects. Both are made in the Philippines, but CT is just a better scope with a better, more usable reticle. The reticle is very intuitive, the turrets are surprisingly crisp and spot on with the reticle. The turrets are simple to use-pull up, zero to hash mark release. I’m so impressed that my next 5-25 scope will be a CT.

Pros:
- A lot of bang for your buck
- Intuitive reticle
- clarity edge to edge
- simple to use accurate turrets
Cons:
- a side focus on this scope would have been a slam dunk
