I bought the CTC LG-105 Defender series Lasergrips for a recently acquired S&W 642 J-frame revolver. It's small gun that's great for concealed carry, but I have big hands. The guy I got it from put a Hogue Monogrip on it because he had big hands. This Lasergrip is small--the same size as the original 642 gripset. My only wish would be for Crimson Trace to make this grip with more filler behind the trigger guard. That's where the button is, and I must confess it takes a bit of concentration to squeeze the grip tight enough to "trigger" the laser before the first shot. After the first +P .38 round goes bang, I remember to grip it tighter!
Now, remember I bought this gun for it's conceal-ability. I got that in spades! So, for a person with smaller hands and a desire for a very small .38 Special revolver, these lasergrips would be perfect with no compromise in quality or concealment! I have personally found that the laser, besides providing an aiming/pointing guide, also is an excellent aid for me to "see" my trigger control error. I have substantially reduced a very frustrating tendency to pull off-target in a remarkably short time.... talk about bio-feedback! It's great! If the original grips work for you, you gotta buy these!
Pros: great price; good quality; easy set-up
Cons: small grips for small gun- not great for big hands
