I ordered the LG-453 laser for a full size Springfield XDM and it arrived in only a few days with standard shipping. The green laser is very bright even in the day time. I have not mounted it on my gun yet as I want to clean before mounting as they recommend removing laser when deep cleaning the pistol. The instruction for mounting are easy to understand. I think it was a great buy with the Optic Planet discount and the Crimson Trace discount and free batteries for life

The fit to my Springfield XD 40 was great. After making a few adjustments with the use of a bore sight to dial it in at 50ft I put 50 rounds through the my XD and let it cool down. I re-checked it again with the bore sight and it was still spot on. After a day of shooting I was very happy with it.

Easy to install. Love the small tool kit that comes with it. Able to adjust easily to put 13 rrounds in a 2" circle at 7 yards. Got it mounted on my Springfield XDM .45 W/threaded barrel. Love it. Waiting for the matching can to go with it�

I installed this laser on my bi-tone XDM .45 and I have been very happy with it. I have taken it to the range twice now and it is holding zero very well. The activation button is located under your ring finger for intuitive activation but little risk of unintentional activation the way the style that wraps around the back can have.
There is an on/off switch on the front of the housing to disable the activation button so the laser will not activate. I find this a great feature for zeroing and practicing with the iron sights.
The green laser is very bright and while it is no substitute for a proper weapons light, if I shine it on a light colored surface (such as a wall)it will light up the area of a child's dark bedroom enough to see who is in it.
The unit installs easily and the whole thing integrates seamlessly into the frame. Plus it just looks cool.
It uses the exact same housing as the LG-453 Lightguard so the same holster can be used for both, but that brings me to it's one great drawback. There is limited holster availability. A couple of companies like CrossBreed make very nice belt slide style holsters to fit this set up, but I have found no paddle shoulders, tactical holsters, or shoulder holsters designed specifically for this combination. I do not care much for general fit style holsters.

As advertised, simple to install and simple to setup.
Follow the instructions and it's even simpler.
My 2nd time at the range with the Crimson Trace green laser, I was putting multiple rounds through the same hole in the target at 25 feet.
The only negative is having to partially disassemble to replace the battery; but battery life is good, so that will be an infrequent situation.

Laser works good, easy to install, easy to use, laser is very bright. The only thing I don't like about it is, the laser extends past the end of the barrel. I installed it on a XDM 9mm Springfield, with a 3.8" barrel. The lens of the laser gets very dirty, very quickly and it will start dulling the brightness of the laser. Other than the few things I've mentioned, I'm satisfied with this laser.

Fit and finish is top notch!! Function is perfect. Easily adjustable if need be. SUPER bright laser...like almost blinding lol. Will definitely light up a dark room just fine. Flash light... optional lol. I installed on my XDM 3.8 compact 9mm. Yes it does technically hang over the front edge of the frame by about 3/16" or maybe 1/4". Hardly noticeable. Got a IWB holster from www.warthoggear.com. Fits Perfect in my Master Tuk!!! I love the instant activation... that's what sold me was the functionality of the laser. Just grab gun and its ON!! I love it. Wish I had on on all my guns :)

Crimson Trace Laserguard Green Laser Sight for Springfield Full Size XD / XDM - LG-453 was easy to install and was pre-aligned. I just had to go to the range and finish adjusting it to be dead-on. I used it to align the adjustable sights on my Springfield XD(M) competition model. After getting all sights adjusted I did some shooting. I like it! I can't see the Green Laser past 20yds. It is really only useable to about 15yds on sunny day. My factory sights are no problem hitting small target at 50yds. I have to do more shooting in differing conditions to determine the final verdict.
Pros: Easy to install and works out of the box as advertised
Cons: Even with the Green Laser one can only see the laser during day light hours to 20yds
