Most Helpful Positive Review Great for low light and failing eyes
Older eyes can have difficulty resolving standard sights, especially in low light conditions; for example, self defense at night. Another important feature is that it is a great training aid helping the shooter to see unwanted firearm movement during trigger squeeze; for example, using small double action revolvers. Overall, a great product that I would recommend to anyone who is serious about personal protection. Pros: Fast target aquisition in low light Cons: None that I have experienced

Another winner from Crimson Trace!

by CCW Guy, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on March 1, 2025
This compact laser grip considerably enhances the concealability of your J-Frame, especially for pocket carry, all while providing the advantage of a putting a laser on target!
While obviously a small grip like this cannot provide the level of control and ease of handling of a full-size grip, it is surprisingly effective given it's diminished dimensions and deep concealability.
Crimson Trace Laser Grips are expensive but you get what you pay for... I have a CT grip in service I bought way back in 2005 (20 years ago!).
It's still working great!

Great Product

by EagleScout, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on October 8, 2024
Got it for a great price, which is the first plus. Also, it looks really good on the J-Frame. The install was simple to do, anyone could do it. It feels nicer than the stock grip to me, and is not much bigger, which aids in concealment. I would definitely recommend this one. The green laser one is a bit bigger, so if you prefer a bigger grip then get that one. However, it you want one close to stock, pick this one up. You will not regret it.

The Perfect J-Frame Grip

by Larry, Verified Owner from NH, United States Written on October 6, 2024
This grip works well for me, whether on a 340PD in .357 Magnum, or a 442 in 38 Special. I have big hands (XXL glove), so not all the fingers get a spot on the grip, but it works, and the shortness of the grip keeps it concealable. The added rubber in the backstrap area helps a lot when firing magnum and +P loads. The button pressure switch on the front of the grip, used for turning the laser on and off, is easy and intuitive to use. CT does make other grips which are not so intuitive, but not the LC-405. The grip is easy to adjust for windage and elevation and holds its zero well. Battery life is exceptional. As for longevity - I own one that is going on 15 or so years old. I think it was called the CT-405 back then. Still functions perfectly and the rubber is still pliable, still feels good. I really have nothing bad to say about this grip.

Smith wesson 360pd laser grip

by Allen, Verified Owner from MS, United States Written on January 15, 2024
Purchased for my light weight 357 revolver. Laser works great. Grip has a padded area that is way more comfortable than stock grips were. Thnner than factory grips but more padded rubber material where finger groves and palm sits. Wanted a better grip than what came on my light weight revolver without adding addition weight. Factory rubber grips weight around 1.75 oz while this laser grip came in a 1.35 oz.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Long delivery times when using free shipping

Best for Concealment

by Ed, Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on December 22, 2023
Concealment firearms need to be able to be brought into the fight from any position. You may have been knocked to the floor, have to shoot from your driver's seat, or from behind cover. The sights on the short barrel, J-Frame S&W revolvers are simple and don't lend themselves to low light, high stress situations where you may have to use the firearm in self-defense. This laser grip solves those problems by allowing reasonably accurate aiming no matter what position you are in, or how much stress you are under. This size is perfect for concealment and also has a slight pad behind the frame to cushion recoil somewhat. This grip and the short barrel j-frame makes a perfect pair.
Pros:
  • Ability to aim
Cons:
  • Not cheap
Best Used for:
  • Self Defense, concealability

Ease of installation and ease of use.

by Steve, from FL, United States Written on February 24, 2021
For a first time gun owner, the Crimson Trace Laser Grip was super easy to install including removing the old grip and then to use. It gives a new gun user added comfort of assisting both aim during live fire and dry fire practice. Highly recommended.

Excellent Laser for J-Frame Revolver

by Gerk, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on November 13, 2017
This is one of the best laser grips for Smith & Wesson J-frame revolver. The size and shape is close to the factor grip and is made for deep concealment, especially in a pocket. The laser is bright indoors. Occasionally washes out when outside in direct sunlight. Extra cushion on heel of but helps absorb recoil. Easily installed.
Pros:
  • Bright red laser indoors
  • Sized for concealment
Cons:
  • Red laser sometimes washes out in bright outdoor sunlight
Best Used for:
  • Concealment when laser sight is needed on a revolver.

Excellent Grips for S&W J Frame

by Tim, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on September 4, 2017
Over the years, I've found this model LG 405 to be the best Laser Grip for the S&W J Frame, especially for CCW use. It is durable, holds POI zero very well, and is very trim for discreet CCW. The rubber is firm, not sticky, so it doesn't catch and hold garment materials. It provides a firm, comfortable grip on the weapon when firing. It's not usually the least expensive J Frame Laser Grip, but the extra expense is worth it for both me and my wife.
Pros:
  • High quality
  • reliable
  • Trim Profile
  • Excellent Materials
  • Enables Discreet Concealment
Cons:
  • Sometimes More Expensive
Best Used for:
  • CCW
  • Dry fire practice
  • range practice

A good addition to a J frame revolver. Gets you on target fast! Easy to install, easy to use. Two screw mounting system holds grips tight so there is no loss of zero. Buy with confidence. I have used another size on my other hand gun for many years & have had zero problems.
