TN's Review of Crimson Trace Laser Grip with Rubber Over Mold for Smith & Wesson J-Frame Pistol

The Crimson Trace LG 405 is very deceiving. The grip is small for concealment but is designed perfectly for getting a great grip on the revolver for people with standard size hands. The top of the grips back strap has a bulge that allows your hand to sit high up on the grip for consistent shot placement. I wear an appendix holster and these grips allow for fast drawing without sticky hang-ups some grips give you on clothing. Having shot thousands of rounds through my S&W 640 in the last two decades I could not believe how tight the grouping got using this laser grip. Most importantly this is my Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) and the target acquisition is instantaneous. This grip will definitely assist you in getting proper sight alignment by allowing you to see how your grip pressure and trigger pull effect the alignment. This tool will give you that confidence needed in carrying a CCW. Small revolvers are awesome CCW's knowing they will shoot in any condition, but the sights are usually the sacrifice you make for the small reliable package especially in low light conditions. Most personal combat situations occur within 7 yards. This laser is not meant to disregard your sights but to enable the shooter to acquire the target in all light and weather situations more expeditiously. These grips are pricey, but how much is your safety worth?
