Most Helpful Positive Review Crimson Trace LG431 Laser Grip
Assembled in 2 minutes. Very nice. Well made. I initially overcompensated the adjustments when sighting in. MUCH-MUCH-MUCH-easier to see than the original Ruger LCP sights. Holds adjustment firmly. Great product. I can now accurately shoot the gun, even without glasses and even in very little...

Most Helpful Negative Review LCP 380 Crimson Trace LaserGuard Sight
I bought a pink one for my wife's pink LCP and it has been working well (only about 100 rounds). Based on that one, I purchased another for my pistol. However, the first two did not work on the pistol. The first one quit working after about 50 rounds, so I returned it. With the second, I could get t...

Wife Loves it

by Bob, Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on May 10, 2024
My wife is a newer shooter/carrier. She has yet to develop muscle memory for self defense. Before the CT grip laser, it was hard to get her to just hold her gun( UNLOADED) to become familar with its feel and to learn that it is an extension of her hand. With the laser, she is much more receptive to just handling her pistol. Practice practice practice!!

See red, Your dead

by Waxahachiewilliam, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on March 17, 2024
Expensive but effective. Takes patience to install. It can be secured in a way that doesn't line up perfectly on the baby gun. Took me several attempts to get it right so the top locked together properly. All good now, I love it.

So good, I bought two!

by IwantAbeAclone, from MD, United States Written on August 11, 2020
A long time ago when the Ruger LCP first went on sale my wife and I bought a his and hers set. The first thing you notice about the LCP is that there are practically no sites on it. To help my wife with her accuracy in shooting it I bought her the Crimson Trace LG-431 and it did wonders for her. Now here it is about 10 years later and I'm buying my LCP one. They are great, doesn't add much weight to the gun and having the switch right on the grip is so convenient. Both my wife and I recommend this Laserguard - 431.
Pros:
  • last for years
  • easy to install
  • Ligh weight
Cons:
  • remember to re tighten screws when needed.
Best Used for:
  • Self and Home Defense

Invaluable accuracy ehancedment

by G, from PA, United States Written on October 3, 2018
The laser sight quadruples the accuracy of the ruger LCD. IT enables the LCP to become a very effective self defense weapon. The ease of installation and its reliability further makes this accessory a must for the Ruger LCP for a tool for self defense.
Pros:
  • Enhanced accuracy
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Self defense and concealed carry !

Perfect!!!

by Mike, from VA, United States Written on June 26, 2018
This is the best addition for my .380 that pretty much doesn’t have sights. Zero this laser in, point, and fire. Great product Crimson Trace! I will be purchasing more of these for my full size pistols as well just for fun.

Correcting mistake in my previous review

by iOS.Randall, from AR, United States Written on January 28, 2017
In my earlier review I stated that pressure from the index finger against the laser's activation button while taking the shot causes the plastic housing to shift, moving the red dot left and right of center (the actual point of impact) and taking you off target. What I had meant to say was, it's the pressure of the MIDDLE finger (not the index finger) squeezing against the laser's activation button as you increase or decrease the pressure of your grip that causes the laser's unwanted housing flex/movement. This (my 2nd review of this product) is only made to correct that mistake...

I've discovered thru use that the plastic this unit is composed of has some flexibility and can be inadvertently moved off target during the shot. When squeezing the pistol's grip, the pressure of the middle finger against the laser's activation button causes the laser housing to shift slightly to left and right of center as the finger's grip pressure increases or decreases. As this is the only laser that I have experience with, I don't know if this is an aberration in my particular laser or if it's a weakness in all of these. It's not a big problem within the short distances that a .380 pocket shooter is normally used in, but as the distance from the target increases, the red laser dot's variation from center (point of impact) gets more pronounced taking you off target. Other than that it's a great accessory to pair with the Ruger .380 LCP, and again, at normal close range shooting which pocket s...

Needs more rigidity

Just put that red dot on target and pull the trigger!
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Movement of plastic laser housing from pressure of index finger against the activation button can take you off target
Best Used for:
  • Quick accurate shots at close range

Crimson Trace LG431

by buzzer, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on January 14, 2017
This an excellent product for the price. It is very easy to install and comes with lifetime batteries. The adjustments are straight forward and fast using the allen wrench which is included. The laser's two pieces snap together fit the gun perfectly. I would say buy this product.

Exactly what I wanted

by Dalton11b, from NV, United States Written on May 10, 2016
I just got a ruger lcp as a pocket carry gun and this works perfect for quickly engaging the target particularly in low light situations where using iron sights would be difficult or almost impossible.
I use it with the desantis pocket holster and no one would ever think that I'm armed

CT laser grip for LCP

by Bob, from IL, United States Written on May 2, 2016
Crimson Trace sets the bar high!! I now have two of their products and both of them fit and work as expected.
Optics Planet is also a quality company. Delivery was sooner than promised and prices were the best I could find. I highly recommend both.
The addition of a lazer to my LCP made a good little gun a great one. Showed it to a friend, and he asked if it came that way. The trigger guard lazer looks like it's part of the gun. Not an add on. After a visit to the range and a couple elevation adjustments it's dead on and stays that way. Great addition to my gun.
