New & defective right out of the box. - Crimson Trace Ruger LCR/LCRX Green Lasergrip

This little gem is a neat gadget, but mine was new and defective out of the box. Installed the four batteries correctly, per instructions. All batteries were checked for correct voltage and installed in the correct orientation. Master switch was in the 'on' position. Laser would not come on. No joy. This thing is $350 and the engineering is pathetic. When you view the trace-way for the wiring inside the grip you can see the incredibly poor assembly and gluing/hot plastic welding that has been done to hold everything in place. The grip is NOT shock resistant and the electronics are definitely NOT water resistant. NO WAY. Total waste of money and a HUGE false sense of confidence awaits ANYONE foolish enough to mount a Crimson Trace anything on their firearm.
