Sub moa barrel
.224 Valkyrie Criterion 22” Hybrid nitrite barrel.6.5 twist. This barrel shot sub moa groups out the box.I shot 2-20rd boxes 75 g Federal.
Then shot 50 rds 90 gn Sierra MK handloads. The 6.5 twist stabilizes the heavier bullets well.Just over 50 rds through it and I was consistently ringing 12” steel @ 600yrds.
Once barrel is broken in and I figure out the best load,it will be a great little shooter. This is already an accurate barrel.Far better than the PSA junk barrel that came with the upper.
I own several Criterion custom barrels I had turned and several pre fit like this that I bought from online dealers. All shoot sub moa. Some do 3/4” groups, some do 1/2” groups.
For $300 you won’t get a better barrel .Next step is a $600 custom Krieger or Bartlien.IMO Criterion’s can shoot as good as the Krieger And Bartlien customs after break in(200-300rds)Maybe not as durable. But,still a great barrel.
