The reason for my 3 star rating is due specificly to the facts that the kydex holster is poorly made and the knife has almost zero edge. The kydex holster is almost like an afterthought considering the blade comes with a collectors display box. The box is nicely done. Although this is a piercing weapon there should be enough edge to tear and cut. The looks are really good. Uniform blade grain. Very beautifully thought out and executed blade. The handle was a worry I had, but a worry that proved unnessaciary. There is plenty of bite and tactile for the grip. Uts tacky without being gummy or sticky. This could be a 5 star product if CRKT ditched the useless display box, use the money saved to produce a finely made kydex sheath with carry style options. And of course, the blade should be sharp. I will be sending this off for partial serrattions and a proper professional sharpening. I also intend to have the top blade jimped with some lines for thumb bite. I have found a custom kydex holster maker that is willing to make me a horizontal holster with options of cross or vertical strong side draw. This is a combat designed knife, not a bushcraft knife. I am going to carry it small of back. Im a big person. Not worried about the balance or weight. I live in GA, so its legal for me to carry concealed with my CCP.
