The knife fits my averaged sized hand perfectly. Pinky wraps around the cord not grip but the knife feels solid in the hand with the first three fingers and thumb gripping if firmly. Knife is sharp enough for the intended use. I believe the tip would be effective in a defensive capacity. The sheath is adequate but a bit thick. A kydex sheath would help. I have a Crawford that costs many times more but this one has a more ergonomic grip. A solid value.
