great knife but larger than expected

by Jon, from GA, United States Written on October 27, 2016
My title states is all: this knife is solidly built and not too heavy, but it is definitely larger than I expected. I have a Kershaw Cryo and Leek that I love but was looking for something with a little larger blade and not much more weight, and I thought I found it when I came across this knife. It's blade is not much larger than my Kershaw Leek and it's fairly lightweight. Unfortunately, the handle is much larger than the blade and makes the knife as a whole much larger than it needs to be. It does make for a comfortable grip when using the knife, especially for someone like me with large hands, but it doesn't really matter how comfortable it is if you never carry it because it's freakin' huge! It is great if I am hiking or camping and is very durable... really a great knife but just not for everyday "in-town" activities. I prefer not to portray myself as a mass murderer when I need to use my knife in public and pulling out this thing out makes people stare :-} Looks like I'll be sticking with my little Cryo until I find something else more appropriate!

Great knife

by CA1EB1991, from MS, United States Written on November 17, 2015
This a great knife for the price. I would buy this knife for full price but with optics planet I got a great deal. The added bonus of an extra clip on the side and the ability to change the clip from right to left handed carry is very beneficial. Comes extremely sharp out of the box.

Knife point.

by Glenn, from OR, United States Written on September 22, 2015
I find the knife just a little to big for normal concealed pocket carry even though I do carry it for that. I cut my finger reaching down to get the knife from my pocket because the point had cleared the case during normal daily activities. It is a quality made knife and is very sharp. Since it is not an assisted open knife it meets Oregon law for concealed carry but is to larger for Tennessee law for concealed carry.
Pros:
  • knife is verysharp
  • Quaility made
Cons:
  • It is a little to big
  • it can open partial by itself by movement
Best Used for:
  • self defence

Sturdy Knife

by Eddiev, from VA, United States Written on March 9, 2015
A good sturdy knife. It opens with a easy flick from your index finger. However, closing the blade requires pushing a lock at the blade`s bottom; I push it with my thumb and fold the blade down with my index finger. It`s also somewhat large in the hand and in the pocket. Still a good purchase at $20.

big and light

by jbkjr, from SC, United States Written on March 9, 2015
Knife if very light for it's size. Carries very well. Came with spare clip or you could add clip to other side. Excellent value. I was concerned about the size of this knife when I got it. But it's so light that carrying it is now a problem. I carry it in the strong side front pocket using the supplied clip. Also comes with a spare clip and screws to mount the clip.
Pros:
  • light
  • modified tip
Cons:
  • little large for a pocket knife
Best Used for:
  • cleaning game
