Brian H's Review of Crosstac Front Sight Picatinny Rail
This item WILL NOT work on the A2 front sight that comes stock on the Ruger AR-556. The bottom rear of the sight behind the Bayonet lug is wider due to the sight having a Quick Disconnect (QD) port and will not allow the part to slide onto Bayonet lug. Also the Ruger sight does not have a standard ring sling mount other than the Quick Disconnect (QD) port, so there is no mount or area to pin the Crosstac Front Sight Picatinny Rail to.
Pros:
- Great concept
Cons:
- Will not work on Ruger Stock A2 sights.
Best Used for:
- A2 Sight with loop sling adapter that can be removed. A sling that will adapt to the Crosstac Big Ring.
