CHEROKEEHUNTER's Review of Cuddeback CuddeLink 2+1 Cell Starter Kit - Verizon Trail Camera

Worst customer service ever! I bought a 3 camera set, an extra camera and 4 solar panels. The solar panel description on the dealer web site says compatible with J cameras. When the solar panel arrived, it's documentation states that it is compatible with J cameras. The truth is that it is only compatible with the J camera if you have the older version with the AA battery pack. Upon calling the manufacturer the first time, I was told the solar panel had a battery inside it and it needed replaced or was not getting enough sun. I was told to make sure I had fresh fully charged batteries in the camera and they had to be alkaline, they said the solar panel would run the camera and if the batteries went dead in the panel, the batteries in the camera would act as a backup. I followed their instructions and I opened i the solar panel and no battery! So I figured she was confused, so I put new batteries in the camera (rechargeable) and plugged in the solar panel. Well the camera will run a long time on 4 D batteries, so it took months to know if it was working. The camera sent me reports daily saying the batteries were OK. Then the batteries died. I then knew the solar panel was not doing anything.
The second time I called I was told that the solar panel was not compatible with J cameras, so I hung up and went out on the internet and found 5 dealer web sites that say it is compatible. So, I called back and then was told it was compatible but only if I buy another battery pack for AA batteries. After several months of trying to figure this out and now too far past the return window with the dealer, I have 4 solar panels that wont work unless I spend more money. I asked very nicely, since the dealers said it will work and the manufacturers documentation di not say it would not work, that they send me 3 battery packs, I was told I would have to buy them! THis is terrible customer service and I will never buy their product again. On a side note, these cameras are some of the most difficult cameras to use and program in the industry, I currently own 4 Covert LTE and 4 Tacticam LTE cameras and they are way easier to use. The covert have been unreliable and their customer service is terrible also, but the Tacticam are the easiest to use and so far I have not needed customer service.
