Bagelman's Review of Cuddeback CuddeLink 2+1 Cell Starter Kit - Verizon Trail Camera

The good: they were fairly easy to set up they connect to each other well even in my dense timber, and the home station connects well the cell network eve though my phone has weak service. No more intruding on my hunting area to check cameras every couple of weeks. They were easy to set up and aim with genius mount, and can be locked to the mount (sold separately but reasonably priced). The bad: the sensor range isn’t as good as my old moultrie A-20 cams (still going strong after 4 years outside in the south), the remote cameras only send a thumbnail of each image to the home camera, and the home camera only sends thumbnails to your email (you can also check these on the cuddeback website), for the full-size images you still have to pull cards, the thumbnails can be hard to read because the resolution isn’t very good but are okay, I wish I could put this on a regular cell plan with unlimited data and set it up to transmit full sized photos at whatever frequency I want, but I’m not given those options.
Pros:
  • Easy setup, network features work well. Cell plan is inexpensive.
Cons:
  • Only sends thumbnails
Best Used for:
  • Monitoring activity without intrusion
