Reviews & Ratings for CuddeLink Long Range IR Trail Camera
— 6 reviews — Page 1
Got a couple of these cameras before this bow season. Wanted to go deeeeeep in the swamp and get some pictures of perhaps deer I never see during the season. The swamp is crazy thick so getting in there is a work out in itself. I set up two of these cameras in the swamp and a the main one on the edge of my woods. Best thing about it is the fact I did not have to go trampling through the swamp to pull cards. I could conveniently check them all from one location. The pictures were outstanding quality even though it was a long range IR. Couldn't be happier with this camera and the concept.

I have three Cuddelink cameras and a home camera. Yes, they do transmit pics to the home camera. But that is the only good thing about them. By far, these are the worst images I have ever seen on any game camera. 20 Mb pics? Seriously? They are more like 5 Mb. I won't waste any more money on these. I'm going back to my Browning cameras.
Pros:
None
Cons:
Poor image quality
Would recommend: No

I currently deploy 5 of the J-1422 cameras w/D battery packs attached, 1 1385 repeater and 1 1385 as the "home"( both w/Cuddepower D battery boosters attached) at the parking location on my lease. CL level on all cameras is at least 46-50 in hilly terrain now that I have the repeater in the middle of my 120 acres and atop the highest point. Day and night image quality is excellent. Battery life is exceptional, 122 days deployed and still showing "good". The real advantage of this system is the "low impact" on the area. Have not been near any camera since deployment and deer activity shows this. Just swap SD cards in the "home" 1385 after hunting and I can view all my cameras at once. Tips: 1. Use good quality D batteries ( prefer the copper top). 2. Use high quality, fast(#10) 8 GB SD cards in each camera( faster read/write speed saves batteries + you have a permanient record with an 8GB SD card, 7700+ image space). I use #10 speed 32GB cards in the home and repeater( overkill but why not) with 2 extra to swap out in the truck. Mine are all attached to the trees with the Genius pan/tilt/lock mounts with cut resistant Master padlocks and specialty head(takes a special bit) exterior truss screws. In summary; Great camera system that provides viewing ability combined with low impact and low matianance needs. Very happy and will be adding more camreas soon.
Pros:
Low impact
Low maintance
Cons:
Initial set up and battery costs
Best Used for:
Trails around stands and Feeders

Want to have system could integrate w other cameras and this allows that. Started out with just one camera but have added to network and seems great. Will continue to use for hunting and security . Seems a little pricey for what you get but overall a good value .

I am addicted to trail cameras haha. I probably check them too often so that's why I was interested in this concept. So far I have had four of these in place for the last two weeks. I ordered five but the fifth was on order and just came in. Absolutely love them. Will be even better when Cuddeback releases the home station that's on their website so I don't have to waste one of my cameras just as a home base. My home camera is set about thirty yards in from where I park on the first trail I found so I can still get a couple pics but mainly its been just a collector. I have another camera on a food plot another camera over a creek crossing and another camera on another an acorn flat. I have forty acres and for now they cover about half of it with great reception. Working toward getting a couple more cameras. Best thing I can say about them is they helped me find my wounded deer the other day. Shot a decent buck with my bow in the acorn flat but I knew immediately he was gut shot as he slowly walked away. I backed out and gave him six hours. Went to shot sight and found half my arrow but no blood on any trail in the direction he walked. Came back and checked my home camera and there was a picture of him crossing the creek a couple hundred yards away from where I shot him. I went to the creek crossing and found some blood slowly I found some more and was able to find him. Really looking forward to using these the rest of the season. I almost enjoy getting a big buck on camera as...

Ive bought a couple of these to add to my Cuddelink network. They take great pictures, ive had no problems with connecting them to the network. Theyre much more compact than I thought theyd be. Overall I'm very happy with this model and I will be buying more.
