perfect for Para USA P-14
A friend did a trigger job for me years ago but a bit too much filing…also my hammer had a blemish where it contacted the firing pin.
Wanting a fresh start the C&S kit was ordered and installed with only a minor hitch. The mainspring (terminology? tensions the sear, trigger and grip safety) supplied is not compatible with Para double stack pistols due to a couple of relief cuts that are customary in colts. You can reuse your original or install a new one for Para’s and be up and running.
I chose to reduce the tension on the middle blade (trigger) and increase it on the right hand blade (grip safety).
All together it feels pretty good. I’m satisfied with the trigger pull and the crisp new hammer (and disconnector, and hammer spring) in my old Para.
