Great Value for Performance Relative to Price
This is my second Tatula 7 ft Medium Fast Spinning rod, and my seventh Tatula rod, in total. Daiwa's Tatula series includes a wide range of light weight, high performance rods that are an excellent value for the price.
This spinning rod is well designed for comfort in terms of the placement of the reel seat lock down ring, which will not come loose due to friction against your hand, and the extension of the EVA foam grip in front of the foot of the reel, which can be held for better balance when working lures and fighting fish.
The rod's action is well suited to a variety of presentations, including top water lures like Rebel Pop-R's, 4 and 5 inch wacky style stick worms like Yum Dingers, smaller crank baits with size 6 or 8 treble hooks, soft jerk baits like the Zoom Super Fluke, and small, soft swim baits like the Reaction Innovations Little Dipper.
My only negative criticism of the rod is the placement of the hook keeper that slack line tends to wrap around. I have compensated for this by placing a short wrap of waterproof first aid tape over the opening to the hook keeper which prevents line from getting trapped.
I have mounted a Ballistic LT 2500 reel on each of these spinning rods, one in the 6.3:1 speed for slack line presentations like plastic worms, and the other in the 5.2:1 speed for taught line presentations like swim baits.

Daiwa Tatula Casting Rod 6'10"
I own and have used many high dollar fishing rods. I use this Daiwa Tatula 6'10" for bass fishing fineness style baits. Very light and sensitive with lots of back bone. The reel seat is one of its own. This is the best rod I have ever used for fineness fishing. The price was really good with free shipping. Buy you will not regret it. I now own 3 of these rods and fixing the buy the 7' for my Carolina Rig.
