Daniel Defence Buttstock
I own a Springfield Saint and this stock was a perfect fit, feels good in the shoulder and looks fantastic. We went to the range and put about 1000 rounds down range and no issues with the stock or comfort.

Horrible to install
Do not waste your money on this. Unlike any AR stock this one is nearly impossible to install either on commercial or mil spec tubes. The plastic is cheap and bent and cracked while I was trying to install it which never happened to me in any AR I built or owned. Big pos.
Well made, VERY tight at first
Stock is quality, as you would expect from DD. It is a little tricky getting it on the buffer tube at first, but it isn't the worst if you follow the directions. The stock fits really tight at first making it a little challenging to collapse and extend, but it does not rattle. The rubber overmolding doesn't pull at my facial hair as some have noted, but I don't have a Gandalf beard either. I like that it comes with an extra butt pad, and I opted to swap for the convex as it is easier to pivot the rifle.

This stock is light weight and high quality. Its comfortable. Definitely my go to stock for a short barrel rifle build.

Minimalist but solid, clean but aggressive
it’s everything you want in a premium collapsible stock: tight lockup, no rattle, and just enough cheek weld without being bulky. The overmolded texture is grippy without being abrasive, and the rubber buttpad eats recoil and stays planted under fast strings. Adjustment is positive and smooth, and the QD sling sockets are exactly where they should be.

I recently purchased this item ie (April 2025) & as an upgrade to a DDM4-V2, 5.56 Caliber. I've owned my DD for over 15yrs. & It has always been a pleasure to shoot with zero problems. This new addition is a perfect marriage & in my personal opinion much better than the original stock. The build quality & construction is second to none with for different positioning options. Putting it on was quite difficult but after moving the pivoting points several times i was able to get it on. The fit is very firm & tight with zero wiggling unlike others I've tried. Ladies/Gents if you're in the market to upgrade your M4 / AR Stock look no further, you can not go wrong with this addition.

No play, extremely tight stock
This stock is great for a milspec replacement stock. It is extremely difficult to put on but that’s what makes it so tight. To install, you’ll need to depress the metal stop inside the stock. I used a flathead screwdriver to depress the stop so that it was flush with the recess well. Then holding the lever in place until you slide it on. It would be fast work with two people to do each of those tasks. Dont give up, it took me about 30 minutes to figure it out. It will attach. The rubber on the stock is smooth and soft and does not pull on your beard. The butt of the stock comes with an additional rubberized thick back. Didn’t need it though.

Best Buttstock I have used
The Daniel Defense Buttstocks are not only beautiful on any build, but they are extremely comfortable and have zero wiggle room on a mil-spec buffer tube, which is honestly hard to find from many manufacturers. I hate things wobbling and shaking on my guns and these things are crisp. Highly recommend.
