Before I explain my issues with it I’ll just put this information out there, I am a long time gunsmith and builder, I was infantry in the us army and I am most knowledgeable on the ar platform. I followed all the steps and for whatever magical reason the rail would not fit tight on the upper, it was wobbling about with every movement, I spent about 3 hours watching videos and looking at the forums to see if I was missing something and the answer is no. I was expecting this to be QUALITY but it was just a waste of money. The upper I was trying to put this on now has a different rail and every component of the upper is in great condition so it wasn’t my weapon that was the issue.
Cons:
- waste of money
- wobbly
- Didnt fit
- cant hold zero

Rail fits my DDM4 just like it should, easy to mount. Only thing is use the barrel nut wrench properly or it will spread open.

Awesome rail. Super light but still really solid. And it came with rail covers.

I got his hand hard to complete my Daniel Defense complete upper so every part on my upper is Daniel defense. Well built hand guard was easy to install and came in with all the hardware.

At 1.9" wide, this is a great quad rail if you don't like the larger M4A1 version (RIS II).

This is a good rail naturally Daniel Defense makes good stuff. The machining is perfect and the rail is very lightweight for a pic rail with rails on all four sides. It’s also slim enough for a large sized hand to get a c grip on. My only complaint is feel like the four fasteners that hold the rail together could be a little larger but they probably use smaller to keep the weight down. But overall a excellent rail and I would definitely buy again.

Just received this rail [10.18.2020]though it’s my first time utilizing a Daniel Defense rail system, I figured I’d give my 1st impressions. The machining is smooth to the touch, along with three rail covers that are just comfortable. The barrel nut wrench may look off putting as if you bought it from a garage sale, that’s where the patience comes in. 1/3 of the teeth will lock in except for one. It slightly hovers over the pocket on the barrel nut, this is where you carefully torque it into the upper threads. If you get annoyed you might strip some metal off. But luckily I did it with patience, loctite and screwed in the rail in place. Even though the screws are questionable, Me happy.
Pros:
- Asthetically Pleasing
- Rail feels quality made
- lightweight for a quad rail
Cons:
- Cross bolts are...eh questionable
- For some, the price.

What can you say? Top Quality, great strength. Other cheaper rails may be cast or have cheap, weak anodization. Not Daniel Defence. This thing is mulled out if bar stock with MilSpec anodization & laser marked rails.
