Read the instructions.
Unscrew bottom cap, slide onto rail, rescrew cap. Its not rocket science. Im not sure what the 2 dunces who left a bad rating didnt comprend. I own 6 of these. Never an issue. All my rifles have built in rails or added on. No two the same. High end or low end.

Most overpriced piece of pout designing I’ve ever seen
When I received this foregrip I was very upset as it did not fit my picatinny rail. Mind you, I knew that I had cheaped out with my rail so thinking “hey this is Daniel defense, the problem has to be with the rail”. Nope. It's a good foregrip
Mounting the grip is pretty easy, and the grip itself is comfortable and decently lightweight. I've got it mounted to my SCAR-17 right now, and it has worked fine on it.

DD MK18 SBR
Do not buy for this gun. It will not install unless you tear down the rifle and remove the hand guard.

Fit is too tight, slides on, no tighteners
I like DD products. I have their replacement AR stock and while also a pain to get on, it’s extremely tight with no play once you do. I couldn’t get the foregrip on. You’re supposed to jimmy it on to the rail from the front. Two issues: the plastic shaves off when trying to push it on and you cant put it on without tearing it up. I have a standard 1913 pic quadrail, there is no reason this shouldn’t fit. It’s a bummer because I bought this for continuity with the stock and the grip is extra rubbery. I think DD should rework this design with some sort of locking or tightening mechanism in the future so it has a wider base of people who can utilize it. No knock on DD, they are pretty spectacular, just not with this foregrip.

Does what it does!
This vertical foregrip is well made and very easy to attach to your rifle. The grip gives a great tactile feel without being abrasive or irritating to the skin. The added feature of a small amount of storage inside the grip was a pleasant surprise. A recommended product that I will be using on a daily basis.
