In 2016 I decided to pick up my first AR15. I had never seen one as inexpensive as this gun kit, plus it featured exactly what I was interested in, which was an M16A4-style build. I assembled the rifle, tuned up the trigger a little, and hit the range. Iron sight groups at 50 yards with several brands and weights of ammo tended to be between 0.5" and 0.75". Basically as accurate as I can shoot a military style peep sight. Surprisingly, 40 gn Hornady V-Max and 55 gn PMC X-Tac were the best. Needless to say I was, and still am, very pleased with this kit. All the parts were present. The quality was obvious in every component, and the rifle continues to perform admirably. I've built several pricey AR15s for 3-gun and range fun, and this Del-Ton still holds its own in most respects. The traditional style also gets a lot of thumbs up from guys at the club, especially the retired marines. At this awesome price, it's a no-brainer purchase if this style of AR appeals to you.
