Works but will need some modification - DeSantis Mini Scabbard Leather Belt Holsters - Smith & Wesson

Bought this for a Smith and Wesson EZ 380 which the description said this holster was made for. And yes the gun fits it perfectly, However,the gun seats too deep into the holster to allow for a full grip on the gun. If the firearm is pulled up flush with the bottom of the holster it is perfect and will stay there in normal situations. But I am not comfortable in the fact it will stay in this position in the unfortunate event that I would ever have to pull my weapon and my life depended on it. If you can't achieve a full grip every time without fail then the holster is flawed. I intend to either close the bottom or somehow modify it so the gun sets flush with the bottom of the holster.It was on sale at a great price but is not worth the time, effort and money to return. I am also left handed and the holster is very comfortable to wear and sets just right for me. It would be a perfect holster were it not for the depth problem. It's an open bottom holster to clarify and the retention device is screwed down tight. It still will drop through the holster with very little effort seating the grip against the holster
