Sturdy and comfortable IWB holster
DeSantis Scorpion holsters have belt loops that are spaced wide apart, making the holster resistant to rotation. Thus, the pistol position remains consistent throughout a day's activity, allowing for a repeatably uniform draw. Adjustable retention ensures the pistol stays holstered until drawn, without dangerous or clumsy releases. The Kydex form stays open for a natural one-handed re-holstering. Even carrying a big gun looks invisible in the DeSantis Scorpion inside the waist band (IWB). I bought two! However, Kydex squeaks slightly from normal body movement, and drawing and re-holstering the weapon makes a clickety clack sound, so take care not to give away your position.

Scorpion for 5" XD Tactical .45 cal
Had this holster for a 1911 and love it. Recently when a belt hook broke on my year old Raven Phantom holster, I decided to get one for my XD 45 tactical. I started to order a replacement belt hook for the Raven but it, with the only shipping option available would be $30. For twenty dollars more I ordered this holster instead. A few days after placing the order the other belt hook on the Phantom broke. Now I could not use the holstrer at all.
Getting back to theb Scorpion; I beieve its sturdier. I dont like the cant as well as the Phantom, but I can live with it. It is very comfortable, and I find it very concealable (I wear it at 2 o'clock or 2:30 instead of on or behind the hip). You will notice that a Scropion is not listed for a 5" XD tactical in .45. The 9 or .40 4" holster works great. It has on open bottom and about 1/2 inch of the 5" sticks out past the holster
