This holster is made very well with quality leather. Exactly what I've been looking for,but could never find except here.I'm pleased with this purchase cause it fits my revolver perfectly as well as holding my side iron closer to my body.The price for this quality holster is outstanding.

Fits perfectly. Rides high and close to the body. Thumb break secure but easy to open. Fit is snug enough that thumb break would not be needed depending on the type of work being done while using. Option to tilt the holster a bonus. Customer Service went the extra mile.

Got one of these in black for my Glock 22. That's a big honkin' pistol to try and conceal, and the DeSantis does a good job of cinching it in flat with my back, so the butt doesn't stick out a country mile. It is built with concealment in mind; the leather is thin, and does a perfect outline of your specific weapon. BUT...with an ordinary belt, when you go to draw, the holster's gonna move upward some. This holster NEEDS a GOOD THICK belt like their own matching 1 and 3/4" thick belt....I just ordered one of those, will advise as to how well that combo works.

I have carried about every conceivable way for 38 years. I now use a shoulder rig but wear a belt holster anyway. I ordered this rig for the fine Rossi 461 6 shot 2" .357 snobby. There is no holster specific for this weapon. I had to order the closest which fits Detective Special. The Rossi is a very tight fit. What you have to do is drastically manipulate the holster to break it in. I do this by flexing the holster by rolling together and fastening with many heavy rubber bands. I do this with weapon in holster and also empty. It helps to completely soak the holster in warm water. I then leave it like this usually overnight. Then I flex the holster back and forth in hands and press it in vice. It is then ready to fit the weapon properly. I do this procedure with all my weapons and it works well and the holster is significantly softened.
This rig would be much better if it had just the one set of slots such as the Bianchi Black Widow. This is a superior rig comparing it to other brands of similar price. Desalts just makes a better rig. The screw tensioning device is a great help. One major defect that is annoying is the retention strap only fits well if you bob the hammer. If you have a standard full hammer you have to stretch and manipulate the placing of the strap so it closes being behind the trigger. The strap is not long-enough to go over the trigger. All of the above would probably not be needed if the weapon was a Detective Special as the Rossi is slight...

To start off, I hate the plastic or kydex holsters. I will not use them. I have one of these DeSantis leather holsters for every hand gun I own and that's quite a few. It holds the gun in tight to the body which makes for better concealment.

I ordered this holster for my new Kimber Micro Raptor .380 and (it's for the Colt Mustang, Sig P238 etc.) it fits perfectly. I tried to order it through OP but they kept saying that they didn't carry the unlined version & tried to sell me something I did not want. The lined holster is unnecessary for my gun as it's SS. OP's ordering system is very difficult to work with. You fill out everything on the filtering form. It then gives you everything BUT what you want. I had to buy this one through Amazon and they really have their act together.

You will not buy a better made holster.

I have used this holster a few times now, and it does a very good job of keeping firearm secure. If speed was the only thing you were looking for in a holster, this wouldn't be the right holster. If security and comfort are important to you, this would be a good choice.

This holster fit my XDM40 3.8 compact perfectly. Others tell you not to buy an XD holster for your XDM because they won't fit properly and will move around in the holster. This is not so with this holster.
Now I need the mag holster to match.

Nice holster. Good quaility. One handed re-holsters can be tricky, because of the strap blocking the gun. Using index finger to move the strap then re-holster. This is something you have to deal with on all leather holsters like this. Lightweight.
