It was unclear to me when looking at the product online, but just to help someone else out this is not optics ready.
Other than that the holster is good quality and nice to look at.
The tension screw worked as designed.
Thumb strap was good but would need to be stretched for a couple of days.

A real review of a holster!
Great holster for the FNX 9. Remember the FNX 9 is not a small gun. This is a amazing holster, So your gun handle will rub a little bit. FNX 9 can be carried cocked an locked or hammer up. The last thing to remember is that this holster is not for everyone, it will take practice to get use to the thumb break.

Excellent fit and finish on my FNX .45
Holster is high quality and has great workmanship. Comfortable to wear all day running around town and while out in the woods. I use to shoot right handed but was in a off road accident and lost the use of my right thumb. So I had to start shooting with my left, which wasn't hard to get use to except I couldn't find a holster that I could efficiently enough for every day carry. THIS holster works great

Desantis Leather Thumbbreak Holster was everything I wanted and more!
This Desantis leather thumb break holster was everything I wanted and more! My FNX spends most of it"s time riding in a pickup truck but when it gets out it becomes active. Riding 4wheelers in rough terrain you need a holster that will secure a weapon in a way that you don't have to keep checking on it. The fit on my FNX40 is superb but with the thumb break secured I have the peace of mind that it will not slip out. I didn't buy this for concealed carry but soon discovered it works great with my shirt tail out. Now it's the only holster I use on this weapon.

Very nice leather holster. I ordered the tan, lined model and am very pleased with it. Shipping took about three weeks because they had to custom make it; it was well worth the wait. Price was very reasonable, especially with a coupon code.

This is an excellent holster that sort of bridges the gap between concealed carry and open carry because it rides so close to the body that it can be easly concealed with a slightly oversized untucked shirt. Yet it's nearly as accessible as if were openly carried. I use this as an open carry holster, it has a thumb break and tension screw so in my humble opinion it is suitable for open carry.
Pros: Elegant black basketweave, smooth quick draw, secure, rides close to body
Cons: if it's not in stock it takes about a month for them to make it but it's worth the wait.

fits the FNP45 perfect
This is the perfect leather holster for the best .45 on the market, the FNP45. Options are limited for a holster for the FN Herstal 45s, but I have this holster for my 1911...definitely my favorite holster.
