Most Helpful Positive Review Great if you have a need for it...
This is my second side charger from Devil Dog. I have one on my PCC I shoot IDPA/USPSA with. It allows you to quickly reload and charge the rifle, useful as my PCC doesn't have last round bolt hold open. I got the second for a 9mm AR pistol I built. I believe it's cheaper to build an upper with a standard upper and then add the side charging handle vs getting a dedicated side charging handle. My pistol has a Thordsen cheek rest so there's no room to change the gun and not lose your cheek weld, but the side charger solves that. Was mildly skeptical but now very impressed

I installed this on my budget home built ar9, which i have set up more as a cqb/cqc gun. It does not have a last round bolt catch so i have to rack the charger everytime i reload. Id been looking into options for side chargers but most are just different uppers and not necessarily affordable at that. I was a little skeptical aboit how it would look and feel on the gun. I thought maybe it would make the gun look a little chunky but it honestly doesnt. Believe it or not it actually doesnt stick out any further than my gun light which is really cool. The handle even folds away on the version i pirchased which is a huge plus. And to top it off i functions very smooth. Smoother than i anticipated and its very easy to install. So overall im very, very impressed.

The impoverishments on this product are outstanding.
It fit my Seekins upper with ease. The ability to adjust the arm has made it possible to use on any billet upper.
