This is the perfect Front sight base for those with barrels that arent drilled for pinning the FSB! Works nice and tight. No special tools needed! A lot of barrels with midlength gas or barrels that are short for their particular gas system won't be drilled for pins as they are usually free floated....

It's okay for certain applications.
It's really a second choice when nothing else will do for the money. It's got a painted finish that matches nothing. It feels like it'd be easy to strip the set screws. But, it does work and everything fits snugly.
DEZ Arms A2 Sights
Been looking everywhere for a front sight post to make a build where I didn’t have to pin the post and what do you know DEZ had a good good me for a decent price my build is finish put 500 round thru it no cant or anything after round good product if your look for a cheaper option for an A2 front sight this is definitely a good option

Great A2 Style Front Sight Base
I love the look of a classic FSB in an AR. I’ve built several AR’s with them. I used Armalites’s clamp on A2 FSB in the bast and loved it. Unfortunately they were discontinued so I had to find a replacement. I found the Dez FSB and am even happier then I was with the Armalite FSB. The Armalite uses two screws at the bottom to literally clamp the gas block to the barrel. Not a bad design but not as effective as the Dez. It uses two set screws on each side to lock against the barrel which seems more secure. The fit and finish were great as well. It’s been around 700 rounds since I built the firearm and it hasn’t budged.

Awesome alternative
This is a great alternative to the traditional pinned A2 sight pos. No tools required and if your barrel is pre dempled even better, has a real nice tight fit as well.I would recommend this to anyone wanting that retro look without the retro work.

NOT A "CLAMP ON" FSB
This is not a clamp on front sight block/gas block as it is marketed. It is held in place by very small set screws, looks like 8/32. It is inadequately threaded to hold it in place. The finish is so soft/uncured that I can leave finger prints in it. a pretty loose fit to be secured with 1/8" long 8/32 set screws, and the set screw locations are poorly threaded and filled with paint. I would say this is an unusable part, even for a range toy.

Very impressive, happy to made this purchase
I bought this one because my FSB is not installed correctly from factory.... COLT is not doing their job right. I was looking for FSB everywhere and found this. It is amazing. The finish is a little gloss and shiny when I get it, but I use my gun cleaner to wash it and it turn out better. Installation is easy and vert steady. Finally get the M4 profile I was looking for because of this product. Otherwise have to spend 300 + bucks to buy a new barrel.

Good option
Nice construction, fit perfectly and does include the front sight post, retention spring, and pin. Screws go in securely as well. The colorist consistant across the product, not showing any major defects In construction or finish.

The Real Deal Made Easier
I was looking for an A2 front sight/gas’s block that didn’t require drilling or installing with a tapered pin. This is a great option, gave me the A2 look without all the extra complication that wasn’t really necessary. If you have ever installed a low profile gas block, this will be easy for you to install and will work great. It uses 5 set screws to secure the sight and is made of a solid cast steel.

GREAT RETRO BUILD PART
I bought three of these for retro 20" builds, and the fit and finish were very good. the kit comes with all parts to complete. If your barrel is dimpled, there is also a set screw that sets under the sling mount. Plus there are four other set screws to ensure the sight does not move. I will be buying more of these, and highly recommend the DEZ A2 sight to anyone needing a quality budget solution for any AR build with a .750 diameter gas system.
