I purchased this item to replace a nearly identical item, the 10" Diamondhead VRS-X Keymod handguard. Nothing wrong with that one, it was just a little too short for my tastes and I thought the 15" would work a little better for me. Installation was quite simple for me as all it was was a drop in part, the Diamondhead barrel nut was already installed on my rifle as was a lower profile gas block to accomodate the rail. The packaging, I note, includes the directions for removal of the traditional triangle front sight/gas block assembly if required and directions for removal of the normal barrel nut so that is not a huge issue if you need to remove those. So far I am quite happy with the system, it is a lighter weight item than the traditional quad Picatinny rail system, less bulky as well so you can easily get a solid grip. THere are plenty of KeyMod panels, grips, and other accessories available. Overall very pleased with the item, the added length allows me to grip farther out as I prefer. Would heartily recommend this item or any of their other offerings. Truly free floating so it does tend to naturally help with accuracy.

The only "downsides" I can think of are possibly the proprietary Diamondhead barrel nut and requirement of installation of a low pro gas block but frankly, if you are unable to complete these items on your own, you would be better served simply buying a completed upper than trying to modify or swap out parts (its really not difficult, though this...
