Years tell the story - DoubleStar ACE M4 Socom Stock

I've owned this stock for 15 years now. Bought it was Delton was brand new and they had a sale on it. I have never regretted the purchase and proudly use it still! Let me give pro's and con's
PROS:
Built like an Abrams tank! I would say that it would take more abuse than the rifle itself.
Firm. no wiggle or jiggle.
Good looking but not Gucci pretty! Just like its owner :)
Foam and rubber hasn't softened or turned brittle over the years. Apart from the scratches its earned, it functions as brand new!
Much Lighter and smaller footprint than the UBR. Its easier to manage and it finds its place in my shoulder quicker than the UBR.

CONS:
I have the SOCOM and the Magpul UBR. I love them both equally but find the UBR more feature friendly.
Price is now as much with stocks that have more features... i.e. the UBR and that fancy strike industries stock.
The UBR is easier to deploy... not that the SOCOM is difficult but the button to adjust the length is smaller and I find myself looking for it.
Mine doesn't have the QD feature and i don't see one in the model advertised. not sure if it does tho.
Foam check rest doesn't offer full coverage. You won't experience beard pull but on some cold mornings you may wield to a bit of cold metal... my wife says "suck it up hero".

Hope this helps... if you're on the fence and fall for the SOCOM you won't be disappointed. You'll be one of the few kids on the block with the toughest stock!
